After an astonishing performance from the girl’s rugby team, The Academy at Shotton Hall will progress onto the next stage in the Rugby League Champion Schools Competition.
The competition is a nationwide event that sees each area compete locally for the chance to compete nationally. The Academy beat Astley Community High School of Whitley Bay, 34-22 on Wednesday 17 February and will now progress onto the National finals.
The girls hold no prisoners, as Astley saw on Wednesday and they are looking to take the competition by storm to put the Academy on the map in the finals. Now they are in the national final they will compete against the top eight school teams in the country to decide who will be crowned champions. Good luck girls!
