Sophie Reed

Sophie currently attends Durham Sixth Form Centre.

Tell us about college...

At sixth form I study four A levels: music, English literature, geography and French. I enjoy all four subjects because I have always found them interesting, especially throughout my academic career at Shotton Hall.

What do you remember most about your time at Shotton Hall?

I remember the friendships I formed after coming from a small primary school cohort and the bonds I made with my teachers at the academy. I will be eternally grateful for the help they gave me.

How do you think your school days helped you prepare for what you do now?

My time at the academy helped me develop skills both academically and in developing my character.

What is your funniest memory from Shotton Hall?

My funniest memory has to be food tech lessons in Year 7 and 8 because we always had a laugh.

What are your future plans and ambitions?

After college I would like to go to university to study music and maybe become a music teacher!

Advice to my younger self...

Be yourself and don’t let anyone change how you are! Also be more confident and believe in yourself.

You can invite one person to a dinner party - who do you invite and why?

Difficult question! It would definitely be one of my friends who I haven’t seen since leaving school.
