Tell us more about your job...

My job is to prepare, cook and serve a variety of home cooked meals and sandwiches for customers throughout the day. I love my job because it's tough and helps me to succeed at new and exciting challenges I didn’t know I could do. It's lots of hard work and very fast paced but that’s the thrill of it! I'm very passionate about my job.

What do you remember most about your time at Shotton Hall?

I remember always being pushed to the best of my ability. The teachers always worked hard to make sure I was getting the most out of my day. I wasn’t as grateful for it back then, but when I look back now I’m so glad I took their advice. I miss school!

How do you think your school days helped you prepare for what you do now?

My school days helped me prepare a lot because if I didn’t listen to what the teachers had told me, I wouldn’t be in the fantastic position that I am in now. I just want to thank Mr Bradley because it was him seeing potential in me that inspired me to become the person I am today, I am forever grateful. Taking this big step and moving away from my family was hard for me, but because I am so passionate about my job I wanted to go bigger and better. I remember being told at school that no matter what challenges are in front of you, always push and overcome them because you can guarantee it will always be better on the other side.

What is your funniest memory from Shotton Hall?

My funniest memory at Shotton Hall was watching Mr Wood run into a door frame covered in Sellotape. Pranked by my favourite geography teacher. Teachers can have fun!

What are your future plans and ambitions?

My future ambitions are to become a well known chef and cook for people all over the world. I just like to make people happy with food!

Advice to my younger self...

Never give up on your dreams, no matter what gets in the way. Stay true to yourself and never treat your parents with disrespect. There’s going to be a day where they won’t be there for you anymore.

You can invite one person to a dinner party - who do you invite and why?

If I could invite one person to a dinner party it would be Chris Hemsworth because I’ve cooked for him and the cast of the Avengers before but I didn’t actually get to meet them. He’s my favourite!
