In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science last week, some of our Year 9 and 10 students visited Newcastle University to take a tour of the campus and attend some very interesting science presentations.
The group had the chance to learn about the importance of women and girls in all aspects of science, and later took part in an interactive session exploring the role of algae in ecosystems and how valuable it is to various industries.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed the trip and we'd like to thank Newcastle University for hosting such an amazing event!
