This year, Black History Month has been bigger and better than ever before and this is because of the superb leadership of Sheryl. She has raised its profile and demonstrated just how important it is to mark. We celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion here as much as possible but Sheryl and the student leaders have ensured that this month has been tremendous.

Sheryl said: "This year I wanted to celebrate Black History Month in a more creative and interesting way. This year we had poster and story competitions. The choir performed at lunch time and we had open mic all celebrating significant black women in the music industry. With the help of Tennyson, Michelle, Kiran and Matty we also produced a video focussing on black women across history. I'm very proud of what we have created."

Amazing work Sheryl, we're all very proud!
