Congratulations to Year 8 students, Leighton Baker, Ally Nellis and Owen Marshall, who all passed their cadets exams at the weekend!
During the weekend, the boys who are all part of the Horden Cadets, attended a training camp to learn first aid techniques, acquire new skills and take part in an expedition. After training was complete, the students had to face an exam, which they all passed with flying colours. They were then awarded new badges to display on their uniforms.
By taking part in the training weekend, the students gained valuable experience - they worked on how to work better as a team and how to solve problems more efficiently which was rewarded by a game of paintball.
Miss Bradley, Year 8 Learning Manager, commented: "I am very proud of all the boys for being involved in such a positive project outside of school."
