Last week, Year 9 and 10 students went to the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe to talk to Britain’s most experienced astronaut.
Dr Michael Foale has spent over 367 days in space and is responsible for bringing the Hubble Space Telescope back to life.
Hoping to inspire more students to study space science, Dr Foale discussed how his education helped in some important moments in his career.
After the chat, students felt excited to 'shoot for the stars' in their studies.
