This week a group of students are visiting Sicily to learn about Italian students' way of life.

Students received an amazing welcome from local students and teachers that included singing, dancing and gifts. The Italian students even wore traditional carnival outfits that they had made themselves.

After learning about Italian customs and getting to know the locals' students enjoyed a tour of the school with a lunch of delicious delicacies made by the Italian students and their parents (that even included dancing together!).

Students then visited a puppet museum to learn more about the culture and traditions of the local area and Sciliy itself.

The next day saw the exploration of the city and the chance to try some amazing Italian street food and gelato. This was followed by even more dancing in the streets of Sicily and dinner where Blake Evans astounded locals by asking for pineapple on his pizza - clearly not a preferred Italian topping!

On the third day, students worked with local art students to draw and model clay. The session ended with sampling some tasty Italian takeaway pizza. This was followed by a trip to the supermarket where students attempted to buy their dinner on a budget.
