Our maths department has been a hive of activity today as the whole school celebrated Pi Day 2019.
Pi Day is the one day of the year that everyone can get super excited about pi (π) - and we aren't talking about the edible kind (although we did have that too!). The pi (π) we are talking about is the magical number that is used to work out the diameter of a circle.
Activities today included a poetry competition, a hula hoop challenge, a quiz, open mic special, a food bank collection, and, of course, a pie bake-off!
Well done to our hula hoopers, bakers, singers, puzzle solvers and everyone else who has taken part in Pi Day today. We think it may have been the best one yet!
Our brilliant bake-off winners were; Alyssa Lawton, Year 7, Ethan Bowles, Year 8 and Josh Woodley, Year 10
