Students think about their futures

This week was National Careers Week and we've spent it encouraging our students to get excited about their future careers.

As well as watching videos in class, assemblies and career-themed lessons, students in Year 9 have spent the morning in a FutureMe workshop, ran by the National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP). The workshop aimed to increase awareness of higher education opportunities by highlighting the strengths of students and looking at their post-school options. The workshop was filled with lots of creativity including self-portraits of students in ten year's time!

There is certainly a buzz around school this afternoon with everyone discussing their futures - whatever they may be...

If any Key Stage 4 students would like some 1:1 support, advice and guidance please book an appointment with our careers advisor, Richard, in the LRC who will be more than happy to help.
