On Monday this week, the whole school got involved in an exciting social, moral, spiritual and cultural (SMSC) day.
Students moved around the Academy to take part in different activities, all under the umbrella of SMSC including:
- Social and emotional aspects of learning (SEAL)
- Laughter therapy
- Active citizenship stalls (ran by our Year 10 students)
- Meditation
- Islamic diversity
- LGBT
- And more...
We also had a visit from Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that we regularly raise money for. They told us how the money is spent and how every little donation matters.
Thank you to all the outside agencies who came in to deliver the sessions and also to Mrs Mein for organising the day.
