Aspiring pilot Craig gets involved in virtual reality

What do you do in your spare time? Year 10 student Craig Kelly spends his spare time looking after an exciting virtual reality (VR) system for his air cadet squadron.

Craig only recently got involved in the project whilst being a cadet in the Blackhall 1932 Air Cadet Squadron. His job is to make sure the VR system is well kept, show people how to use it and make sure that people are safe whilst using it.

The VR system allows air cadets to experience what flying is like and practice flying a plane. Craig, who has had a turn of the VR system himself, aspires to be a pilot for the RAF in the future - good luck Craig.

The VR project has been so successful that £15k is being invested in it by Durham and Northumberland air cadets to help other squadrons get involved - Craig is hoping he will also be able to get more involved.
