On Wednesday, our under 13 girls and boys cricket teams competed in the ‘Chance to Compete’ cricket competition at Peterlee Cricket Club.
The competition saw five schools from the local area compete for their chance to go onto the next round later in the year.
The girl’s team, made up of eight Year 8 girls, won all their games and will progress onto the county final and the school games final later this year - well done.
The boys team made up of one Year 7 and seven Year 8s, won two of their games but lost the other two, meaning they unfortunately won't progress any further.
Cricket coaches, Miss Peel and Mr Elstob said: "Both teams played fantastically and should be really pleased with the result. Keep up the good work."
