Big well done to our Year 8 girls netball team who won the annual East Durham area tournament last week.
After meeting every Thursday to practice, the girls finally got to put their skills to the test against St Bedes, Dene House, Easington A and Easington B.
In their first match, the girls beat Dene House 9-0, followed by Easington A 3-0 and Easington B 8-0. Their final match was against St Bedes and, since both teams had won all their previous matches, this match would determine the overall winner. Although it was a close game, in the end our Shotton Hall girls won with a score of 4-3!
The hard work certainly paid off - well done girls!
