Knock, knock. Who's there? It's Shakespeare week of course, returning to Shotton Hall to help us celebrate the life and work of one of England’s most prolific writers.
William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. His work continues to influence us today - over 400 years after his death.
Throughout the week, we hosted a variety of activities to get everyone involved. Students tried out Shakespeare fancy dress costumes and were encouraged onto the Shotton Hall stage, staff also tried their hand at a couple of Shakespeare's plays in front of amused Year 7 and 8 students.
Our English department decorated their doors and ran various competitions such as a Shakespeare meme competition, a poster competition, a 'film your own Shakespeare scene' competition and more. There's still time to get involved - speak to anyone in English for more information.
