Last week a group of Year 10 GCSE history students visited Teesdale School to attend lectures delivered by a Cambridge professor.
Professor Richard Rex, Professor of Reformation History and Religious Studies at Queen's College, Cambridge University took time out of his busy schedule to deliver engaging lectures on 'the early stuart church' and 'kingship and parliament in the seventeenth century'.
Head of History and Sociology at Teesdale School, Dr Simon Henderson also gave a lecture on racial identity and American nationalism.
Shotton Hall was one of three schools who attended the event and all 180 students had a great time enhancing their historical knowledge.
