It's not everyday you get to throw a pie at your teacher (even if you think about doing it sometimes) but today, in honour of Pi Day, we did.
Pi Day is not only the day Mr Harding pulls out his amazing Pi tie (which coincidentally got splattered with 'real' pie this year), it is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (Pi) and is observed on March 14 since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π.
Students who could memorise the first 30 digits of Pi got to pie our teacher volunteers in front of the whole school - much to the delight of many. We also had a Pi treasure hunt, Pi food and Pi prize giving.
Happy Pi Day everyone!
