STEM club (science, technology, engineering and maths) have been doing some exciting things recently with a Halloween themed event last week, testing potions. The pupils were mixing different solutions together and recording what happened when they reacted. Some of these potions included arachnid juice, ghooly goo and deadly nightshade (don't worry it was all very safe!). Some went from colourless liquids to yellow and brown and some fizzed or warmed up.

The week before, pupils built bridges using just paper - the strongest bridge they created held over four kilograms of weights. 

This week it is bonfire themed so are going to be adding different chemicals to fire...
