Before Christmas, a small group of students travelled to Naples in Italy for an action-packed history and maths trip as part of Erasmus.

Naples is best known for being near Mount Vesuvius, the still-active volcano that destroyed nearby Roman town Pompeii in 79AD. The site is open to tourists and students spent some time exploring the ruins of the old town alongside Italian students from a local school and Spanish students who had made the trip across to take part in the program.

The students enjoyed visiting Naples and Benevento city centres, ice skating and... even in the 22 degree heat, our students pulled on their Christmas jumpers so that didn't miss out on annual Christmas jumper day!
