We are asking our generous staff and students for food donations once again for our local foodback after recognising that one collection a year isn't enough due to the high demand of food needed.
After an extremely successful collection at Christmas, which saw a huge amount of food collected, we are hoping to yet again raise a massive amount of food for those who need it the most. East Durham Trust's FEED project relies purely on donations and with the summer holidays approaching, families are stocking up on food, leaving the foodbank low on stock.
Items that can be donated include: Instant mashed potato; tinned vegetables; tinned fruit; tinned meat; tinned fish; rice pudding; sugar; tea bags; coffee; milk (UHT or powdered); pasta; rice; noodles; tinned tomatoes; pasta sauces (tinned/jars/packets); baked beans; tinned spaghetti; breakfast cereal; biscuits; crisps; snacks; pet food.
Please bring your donations into school on Monday 18 July, no matter how big or small, every little helps.
