Ceara supports CRY

Generous student Ceara Sidney in Year 10 is hoping to raise £300 for the Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) charity by chopping off 14 inches of her hair on the 31 May.

Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Since its formation in 1995, the CRY charity has been working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac deaths by supporting young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offering bereavement support to families. Find out more about CRY here

Sadly, Ceara lost her cousin to the condition and since then she and her family have been raising money for the CRY charity. Ceara had always planned to donate her hair to The little Princess Trust once she had 7 inches spare, but she now has 14 inches of hair being cut off. She is hoping this will help a couple of children who have suffered from hair loss to get a new wig and the sponsorship she receives for doing the courageous act will go towards CRY.

Please show your support and sponsor our amazing student Ceara here or see Ceara directly and sponsor her using the sponsor form.
