Next week is Healthy Eating Week at the Academy and we have lots of new super-healthy delicious dishes on the menu for everyone to try.
Although we always offer healthy food at the Academy, we thought we would have a week of super-healthy eating and test out some new dishes ready for our new menus in September.
The dishes include (warning: you may feel your mouth start to water):
Monday
- Creamy chicken and butternut sage risotto
- Crispy courgette bake with a feta and herb crust
- Mouth-watering blackberry and apple oaty flapjack crumble
Tuesday
- Freshly steamed basa or mackerel with kale and leeks
- Delicious stuffed beef tomato with cous cous and dried fruit
- Enticing pineapple, peach and cranberry pudding
Wednesday
- Tasty chicken tagine with basmati rice
- Authentic Italian spinach, mushroom and onion lasagne
- Irresistible blueberry and banana oaty loaf
Thursday
- Super sticky citrus turkey and vegetable filled puccia roll
- Nutritious quorn and roasted vegetable filled puccia roll
- Feathery autumn feast cake
Friday
- Scrumptious oaty salmon fish cakes
- Flavourful quorn mince curry with boiled rice
- Tempting spiced courgette and apple cake
There will be no chocolate cake in sight next week, instead we will be offering: fruit salad pots, fruit slices, raisin oaty cookies, oat and sultana muffins, spiced carrot and raisin cake and the ever popular fresh fruit kebabs! We can't wait.
