Yesterday we celebrated the official day of pi (π) with exciting activities taking place throughout school.
For those of you not in the know about pi, we aren't talking about the edible type; pi (π) is the name given to the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter. It is used to work out the diameter of a circle. Pi Day always takes place on March 14 (or 3/14), since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three digits of pi in decimal form.
To celebrate, students took part in treasure hunts, memory challenges, ate pi themed food and our lovely maths staff showed up in their fabulous blue t-shirts.
