We're very proud to announce that we've just won the Northern Echo's School of the Year Award at their 2016 School Awards.
The awards recognise and reward schools for their achievements in lots of different categories including inspirational student, community involvement and healthy living.
Year 8 students from the Academy accompanied Dr Gorlach, Deputy CEO of our Trust and waited nervously to hear if we had won the final award of the ceremony - and we did!
Congratulations to all our staff and students who work so hard to make our school such a great place to learn and well done to all the other schools who entered and to the Northern Echo for hosting this great community event.
