Food masterclass

At Shotton Hall we're pretty good at cooking - no need to go to the Fat Duck, just ask one of our food technology students to rustle you something up! However, we always want to do better, so to take our GCSE students to the next level, Mr Bradley has been holding food master classes. It's a bit like Masterchef, except everyone gets sent home at the end of the day.

The results have been stunning as you can see with students mastering butchery and fish techniques such as deboning and stuffing the chicken, but also how to make a range of dishes at home using all the different cuts. Students have also been learning how to add a little flair by creating strawberry ravioli and caviar, vanilla foams and edible soil.

Well done everyone - keep giving Heston a run for his money!
