The Academy welcomed teachers from Kazakhstan today, who visited us as part of a tour of UK schools with Newcastle University. Our foreign colleagues were here to talk to our executive principal Lesley Powell and the deputy CEO of our learning trust Janice Gorlach about how schools work in the UK.
After a tour of the school and a few festive carols from our school choir, the teachers learned lots about how our school works and the things we do that make us outstanding.
We hope our visitors enjoyed their visit to Shotton Hall and thank them for their kind gifts - now we know what chocolate tastes like there!
