Aaron met his partner Emma whilst at Shotton Hall in 2015, and bought a house together at the end of 2024, got engaged in 2025 and are getting married this year! In his working life, Aaron had the privilege of looking after people at some of the most vulnerable points in their life, from having difficult conversations with patients and loved ones to working as part of a team to resuscitate patients when their heart stops - both of which he found to be incredibly humbling and profound experiences.
What Aaron remembers most about his time at Shotton Hall is playing 'one bounce' at lunchtime in the amphitheatre with his friends, who he still talks to today. He remembers spending time with Emma during class and at break times and, one of his favourite memories - Mr Wood falling over during the fire drill.
The highlight of Aaron's life so far was proposing to Emma in Malaga and spending the following day in the sun enjoying beer and tapas in their own little bubble!
Aaron says that having a very supportive senior leadership team in school, who recognised his aspirations and empowered him to pursue them helped him prepare for where he is now. He appreciates them going the extra mile by putting on extra-curricular revision sessions leading up to exams and programmes such as iSparks. He said "the teachers did everything they could to maximise our chances of pursuing our dream careers- and I cannot thank them enough!"
Aaron's future plans are to build his portfolio and pursue a career in Anaesthetics, as well as continue to travel and build a life with his childhood sweetheart.
