Today marks the opening of a fantastic new eco-building at Shotton Hall.
As the Academy grows, our new £1.1 million project provides extra classroom space alongside additional specialist science labs. Additionally, the new building gives us two extra changing rooms for students.
The new state-of-the-art eco-building was constructed by sustainable building specialists, TG Escapes, using environmentally friendly materials such as sustainable timber and recycled glass. The design of the building includes efficient energy systems and conserves heat during the winter to reduce energy wastage.
As well as the environmental benefits, the new classrooms blend beautifully into the natural surroundings of the school overlooking the main building and school yard.
We would like to say a huge thank you to TG Escapes who were fantastic during the project and to OCS for their support and organisation.
