Jack Morris Teesside Sprint 2019

Congratulations to Jack Morris in Year 10, who recently finished in an impressive third place at the Teesside Sprint 2019 Championships.

The final rounds were split over two days and Jack, who was taking part as an 'owner-driver' for the first time, finished day one in second place, despite the treacherous rain.

As the rain subsided, day two looked much brighter and Jack's performance was outstanding - he led every single lap and finished the final round in first place. Overall, points landed Jack in third place of the competition, being only 9 points behind second and a whopping 68 ahead of fourth. Not only did Jack finish third, at presentations he was awarded 'driver of the event' out of 96 competitors.

Jack's family commented: "This has been a massive achievement for Jack as he was racing against drivers who have competed for many years - we are all extremely proud of him!"

Hoping to continue his success, Jack will be competing in the Winter Sprint championships at Warden Law and the PF International in Lincolnshire.

Well done Jack and good luck - keep us posted!
