Last week, the Academy supported National Anti-Bullying Week which included Odd Socks Day to celebrate what makes everyone different and unique.
Our students put on their craziest odd socks and came into school to complete a series of anti-bullying related tasks.
Year 7 students attended an anti-bullying intervention where they took part in a carousel of activities based on a range of topics such as the importance of healthy relationships and online safety.
The stations at the intervention allowed students to create anti-bullying wreaths which were later displayed around the school, label areas they felt safe on a giant map of the school, create an emoji which outlined how other people had made them feel, create an anti-bullying t-shirt slogan as well as take part in a quiz and cyber safety activities.
Other year groups were also involved with Anti-Bullying week through different class projects and anti-bullying workshops within lessons.
It was fantastic to see our students so enthusiastic while supporting Anti-Bullying Week and appreciating their own and others' differences
