Students at The Academy at Shotton Hall tell us that they find computing enjoyable, but at the same time challenging. We are committed to teaching computing, digital literacy and information technology, thereby providing our pupils with valuable skills they will use in the future.

What's happened in computing at Shotton Hall recently?

The biggest event in the department has been the complete overhaul of the subject. We are no longer the ICT department, but the computing department.

We now offer both GCSE ICT and GCSE computing at Key Stage 4. Key Stage 3 has also been altered greatly over the past year. The department has welcomed the changes as we feel we are now offering the students a relevant, exciting programme.
